Objects of Hope: The America Project

Entering their 10th performance season, Contradiction Dance revisits an interactive performance piece that asks us all to consider how we treat the “other” in our midst.

Provocative and poignant, "Objects of Hope: The America Project" deconstructs symbols of our society and reconstructs our humanity and makes global issues personal. The show will address homelessness, immigration, and gun violence through the company’s unique blend of movement, theater, and music. The audience is part of the artistic expression and will have the opportunity to process and take action on their individual discoveries around this issue.

Created and choreographed by Kelly King, Artistic Director of Contradiction Dance. Featuring Alison Waldman, Jessica Denson, Sadie Leigh, Erin White, Neil Negri, and Samir Bitar.

Contradiction Dance is now the resident dance company at Anacostia Arts Center!
